This full-time contract opportunity invites you to blend expertise in assessments, collaboration, and student-centered interventions in a dynamic school environment near South Lyon, MI. You’ll manage a caseload of approximately 50 students, focusing on both initial and re-evaluation assessments. Work closely with dedicated educators and staff to nurture each learner’s academic and social-emotional growth.
Key Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid School Psychologist certification (state credentials required)
- Demonstrated experience working with K-8 student populations
- Proficiency in conducting educational and psychological assessments (initials and re-evals)
- Familiarity with a variety of assessment tools and best practices in special education
- Strong report writing, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and families
- Compassion, adaptability, and a commitment to fostering inclusive educational environments
Role Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychological and educational evaluations
- Complete and document initial and re-evaluation assessments in accordance with state and district guidelines
- Develop and recommend individualized interventions and supports for students
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the creation of educational plans
- Consult with teachers, administrators, and parents/guardians to promote student well-being
- Offer valuable insights into behavioral and academic concerns, supporting a positive school climate across both campuses
