Desired Qualifications & Experience:
- Certification and licensure as a School Psychologist
- Previous work with elementary-aged students (1st–5th grade) preferred
- Familiarity with diverse learning needs, including students with special education or 504 plans (SPED 26/27 experience desirable)
- Strong assessment, intervention, and counseling skills in an educational setting
- Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, administration, families, and other professionals
- Skilled at data collection, interpretation, and the creation of actionable strategies
- Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving abilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct student evaluations and assessments to identify learning, behavioral, and emotional needs
- Collaborate with teachers to develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) and support plans
- Provide direct counseling services and crisis intervention as needed
- Offer consultation and training for educational staff to address student needs within 1st through 5th grade classrooms
- Participate in eligibility, annual review, and multidisciplinary team meetings
- Assist in fostering a positive, inclusive school culture that supports all learners
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in accordance with policies
