This contract opportunity near Spring, TX, offers a dynamic, collaborative setting, serving either South or West Houston with a focus on providing comprehensive psychological services to approximately five campuses. Candidates will enjoy the structure and support of a full-time, on-site schedule, with some flexibility for hybrid report-writing.
Desired Skills & Qualifications:
- Valid Texas School Psychologist credential/active licensure (provide documentation upon application)
- Demonstrated school-based experience working as a school psychologist
- Availability for full-time, on-site work (37.5 hours weekly); minimal hybrid options may be considered for specific duties
- Reliable transportation for travel between assigned campuses
- Prepared to complete and pay for HISD fingerprinting promptly as part of the onboarding process
- Ability to manage a varied caseload across multiple school sites and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough psychological assessments and evaluations in an educational context
- Develop and implement evidence-based intervention strategies supporting students' academic and social-emotional needs
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to optimize students' educational experiences
- Contribute to the development and implementation of IEPs and Section 504 plans
- Provide crisis intervention and counseling as needed
- Maintain compliance with Texas state and district guidelines regarding confidentiality and reporting
