Step into an impactful school-based environment for the 2026–2027 academic year as a dedicated professional supporting the well-being and academic progress of students. This contract opportunity near Spring, TX, offers a dynamic, collaborative setting, serving either South or West Houston with a focus on providing comprehensive psychological services to approximately five campuses. Candidates will enjoy the structure and support of a full-time, on-site schedule, with some flexibility for hybrid report-writing.

Desired Skills & Qualifications:

  • Valid Texas School Psychologist credential/active licensure (provide documentation upon application)
  • Demonstrated school-based experience working as a school psychologist
  • Availability for full-time, on-site work (37.5 hours weekly); minimal hybrid options may be considered for specific duties
  • Reliable transportation for travel between assigned campuses
  • Prepared to complete and pay for HISD fingerprinting promptly as part of the onboarding process
  • Ability to manage a varied caseload across multiple school sites and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough psychological assessments and evaluations in an educational context
  • Develop and implement evidence-based intervention strategies supporting students' academic and social-emotional needs
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to optimize students' educational experiences
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of IEPs and Section 504 plans
  • Provide crisis intervention and counseling as needed
  • Maintain compliance with Texas state and district guidelines regarding confidentiality and reporting
