Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations and re-evaluations
- Complete formal assessments to determine special education eligibility
- Analyze and interpret assessment data, preparing thorough written reports
- Participate actively in eligibility determinations, IEP meetings, and conferences with parents and educational teams
- Consult closely with teachers, special education personnel, and administrators regarding student needs and services
- Contribute expertise to behavioral intervention strategies and student support plans
- Maintain accurate and compliant documentation within required timelines
Qualifications:
- Master’s or Specialist degree in School Psychology required
- Valid Virginia School Psychologist license or credential must be held
- Prior experience in a school-based setting is preferred
- Familiarity with conducting evaluations, navigating IEP processes, and participating in eligibility meetings
- Strong written communication skills for report building, with an ability to work effectively within a collaborative team setting
