Qualifications and Skills:

  • Valid state certification or licensure as a School Psychologist
  • Master’s or Doctoral degree in School Psychology or closely related field
  • Strong understanding of evidence-based assessment, intervention strategies, and counseling techniques
  • Experience working with children and adolescents in educational settings
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving abilities
  • Proficiency in developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Knowledge of special education laws and best practices

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments and interpret evaluation results
  • Provide direct counseling and crisis intervention to students
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop effective intervention and support plans
  • Participate in the creation and monitoring of IEPs and 504 plans
  • Consult with teachers, parents, and administrators to address students’ learning and behavioral needs
  • Offer training and resources to staff and families on mental health, learning challenges, and behavioral management
  • Maintain accurate, timely documentation in accordance with district and state policies
