Desired skills and background:
- Active certification/licensure as a School Psychologist
- Previous experience working in elementary-level school settings preferred
- Strong grasp of MTSS frameworks and practices
- Skilled in conducting psychoeducational evaluations and re-evaluations
- Knowledge of special education processes, including emotional and autism support
- Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, families, and interdisciplinary teams
- Strong communication, organization, and documentation abilities
Primary responsibilities:
- Conduct initial evaluations and re-evaluations for students, focusing on academic, emotional, and behavioral needs
- Participate in MTSS problem-solving meetings and contribute to intervention strategies
- Prepare detailed assessment reports and communicate findings to educational teams and parents
- Provide consultation and support for classroom staff and families
- Support the development and implementation of IEPs, as appropriate
