Key Qualifications:

  • Valid School Psychologist license in Virginia
  • Experience working in school settings or with school-aged children
  • Strong skills in assessment, counseling, and intervention planning
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, administrators, and families
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
  • Commitment to maintaining ethical standards and confidentiality

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational assessments and provide insightful reports to guide educational planning
  • Offer short-term counseling and crisis intervention services to students
  • Participate in the development and implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Consult with teachers, families, and stakeholders to address academic, behavioral, and social/emotional needs
  • Design and deliver professional development and preventative programs for school staff and families
  • Maintain timely and accurate case documentation in accordance with state and district policy
