Key Qualifications:
- Valid School Psychologist license in Virginia
- Experience working in school settings or with school-aged children
- Strong skills in assessment, counseling, and intervention planning
- Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, administrators, and families
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
- Commitment to maintaining ethical standards and confidentiality
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational assessments and provide insightful reports to guide educational planning
- Offer short-term counseling and crisis intervention services to students
- Participate in the development and implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Consult with teachers, families, and stakeholders to address academic, behavioral, and social/emotional needs
- Design and deliver professional development and preventative programs for school staff and families
- Maintain timely and accurate case documentation in accordance with state and district policy
