Essential Qualifications:
- Valid Michigan School Psychologist certification
- Previous experience or training in school-based psychological services
- Strong expertise in conducting psychoeducational evaluations
- Proficiency in behavioral observation and intervention strategies
- Demonstrated skill in report writing and documentation
- Effective communication abilities, especially for meetings and collaborative settings
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess students’ academic, social, and emotional needs
- Participate actively in team meetings and provide expert input on services, eligibility, and interventions
- Carry out student observations, documenting relevant findings to assist with planning and intervention
- Prepare clear and thorough reports to guide educational planning and support
- Develop, assist with, and help implement evidence-based Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs)
- Collaborate with educators, support staff, and families to foster positive learning environments for all students
