This position is ideal for an adaptable, skilled professional passionate about supporting student learning and success.
You will have the opportunity to share your expertise across 2-3 schools, focusing primarily on conducting student evaluations, collaborating with educators, and supporting students’ social, emotional, and academic development. Your insights will guide intervention strategies and create positive educational outcomes.
Desired Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid School Psychologist certification (Michigan or eligible for reciprocity)
- Master’s or Specialist-level degree in School Psychology or a related field
- Background in administering assessments and evaluations within an educational setting
- Strong knowledge of special education processes, eligibility criteria, and IEP development
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Ability to adapt and manage priorities across multiple school locations
What You'll Do:
- Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational assessments for students referred for evaluation
- Consult with teachers, administrators, and families to interpret evaluation data and make recommendations
- Support intervention and MTSS processes, and provide expertise in social-emotional learning
- Contribute to multidisciplinary teams and IEP meetings
- Offer guidance and resources for preventative and crisis interventions
- Collaborate with staff to cultivate a supportive educational environment
