School Psychologist in Storrs Mansfield, CT

Make a difference in children's lives as a full-time School Psychologist during the 2026-2027 school year in the greater Storrs Mansfield and Norwich, CT area. This contract role offers the chance to positively impact elementary students through assessments and collaboration in a supportive educational environment.

As a School Psychologist, you'll primarily focus on elementary caseloads, conducting evaluations, and actively participating in Planning and Placement Team (PPT) meetings. Your expertise will help ensure students receive the support and services they need to succeed academically and emotionally.

Qualifications:

• Valid Connecticut School Psychologist certification (CT School Psych Cert required)
• Previous experience in schools or with elementary-aged children preferred
• Thorough knowledge of assessment tools and intervention strategies for school-aged children
• Strong ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, families, and educators
• Excellent organizational, communication, and documentation skills

Responsibilities:

• Conduct psychoeducational evaluations and interpret results for students in accordance with school and state guidelines
• Participate in PPT meetings, sharing insights and recommendations with team members and families
• Develop and contribute to Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Provide consultative services to staff and parents regarding students’ learning and behavioral needs
• Maintain accurate records and documentation aligned with regulations and best practices
• Support and counsel students to foster social, behavioral, and academic growth

This is a full-time position, working 30-35 hours per week, based in elementary school settings throughout the Storrs Mansfield, Norwich, and nearby communities.
