School Psychologist - Storrs Mansfield, Connecticut

Step into a meaningful educational role supporting the well-being and success of students in the greater Storrs Mansfield and Norwich, CT areas. This full-time, contract opportunity is available for the 2026-2027 school year and is ideal for a dedicated School Psychologist seeking to make a difference within vibrant school communities. You’ll work 30-35 hours per week, focusing on student evaluations and actively participating in Planning and Placement Team (PPT) meetings.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Valid and current Connecticut School Psychologist certification is required
• Experience working as a School Psychologist in K-12 settings is highly valued
• Strong understanding of evaluation tools, individualized education programs (IEPs), and special education processes
• Skilled in building relationships with students, teachers, and families
• Excellent communication, documentation, and organizational skills
• Collaborative approach with a passion for advocacy and student empowerment

Role Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations and interpret results for use in education planning
• Contribute as a vital member of Planning and Placement Team meetings, helping to tailor education plans
• Consult with teachers, administrators, and families to support students’ academic, social, and emotional needs
• Provide crisis intervention and recommendations to support student well-being
• Maintain accurate records and ensure timely documentation in line with district and state policies
• Offer expertise and consultation to school staff regarding effective interventions and supports for student success
