Exciting opportunities are available for dedicated School Psychologists to make a meaningful difference while serving school communities in the Houston area for the 2026–2027 academic year. This contract position offers a chance to work on-site in either South or Central Houston supporting students, fostering well-being, and facilitating positive educational outcomes.
Candidates will play a vital role conducting psychoeducational evaluations, collaborating with teachers, administrators, and families, and providing counseling services and interventions. Full-time professionals are sought to ensure consistent care and continuity for students.
Key Qualifications:
- Current, active Texas School Psychologist license or credential (documentation required)
- Prior school-based experience as a School Psychologist
- Availability for on-site work only (no remote options)
- Full-time commitment (37.5 hours per week) throughout contract
- Reliable transportation
- Ability to fulfill district fingerprinting requirements within three days of contract initiation
Primary Duties:
- Conduct student assessments and psychoeducational evaluations
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education plans (IEPs) in multidisciplinary teams
- Provide direct counseling and crisis intervention services to students
- Consult with faculty, families, and community partners to address student needs
- Maintain comprehensive documentation in accordance with district and state guidelines
- Facilitate and participate in Response to Intervention (RTI) and special education eligibility meetings
