This position entails working with a caseload of approximately 670 students, providing crucial support through comprehensive assessments, counseling, and collaborative interventions every week.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough psychological assessments to gauge students’ cognitive, emotional, and social functioning.
• Deliver individual and group counseling to students facing various mental health challenges.
• Work closely with educators, parents, and administrators to address behavioral and academic concerns.
• Create and implement targeted interventions to support students with behavioral and emotional needs.
• Play an active part in IEP meetings, contributing to the formulation and achievement of student-centered goals.
• Offer crisis intervention and immediate support for students in distress.
• Guide school staff and families in understanding mental health issues and available resources.
• Maintain precise, confidential records of student services and interventions.
• Adapt to additional responsibilities as assigned by the administration.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master’s or Doctoral degree in School Psychology.
• Valid South Carolina School Psychologist certification.
• Prior experience delivering psychological services and counseling in K-8 educational settings is highly valued.
