Key Qualifications:
- Valid California PPS Credential in School Psychology (or eligibility for certification)
- Master’s or Specialist-level degree in School Psychology from an accredited program
- Experience working in a school setting with students of diverse backgrounds
- Strong assessment, counseling, and report-writing skills
- Ability to collaborate with teachers, administrators, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities
- Flexibility and adaptability to varying caseloads and school environments
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct counseling services to students, supporting social-emotional growth
- Conduct comprehensive psychological and educational assessments
- Develop and interpret individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with school teams
- Offer crisis intervention, behavioral consultation, and preventative strategies
- Participate in student support meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary problem-solving processes
- Maintain accurate and timely records consistent with federal and state guidelines
- Consult with teachers, staff, and families to provide expert recommendations and supports
