This full-time contract role runs Monday through Friday, with a weekly schedule of 36.25 hours and an engaging array of responsibilities focused on student assessment and collaborative leadership.

Responsibilities:

  • Administer a variety of psychological and academic assessments to support student development and educational planning.
  • Serve as Chairperson for Committee on Special Education (CSE) and Committee on Preschool Special Education (CPSE) meetings, guiding effective team decision-making processes.
  • Collaborate closely with teachers, administrators, and families to support positive educational outcomes.
  • Write comprehensive evaluation reports and participate in the creation and review of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
  • Foster a supportive atmosphere for early elementary learners in a K-2 building.

Qualifications:

  • New York State certification as a School Psychologist (required).
  • Experience chairing CSE/CPSE meetings, with formal Chairperson training strongly preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills, with a proven ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively.
  • Prior experience conducting student assessments in a school setting.
