This full-time, contract position spans from August 24, 2026 through December 18, 2026, providing meaningful engagement with young learners at a pivotal stage in their educational journey.
In this role, you’ll serve as a trusted partner to teachers, administrators, and families, advocating for students’ social, emotional, and academic well-being. You’ll draw on your expertise to assess student needs, develop effective interventions, and foster a safe, inclusive school environment that helps every child thrive.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Current WA School Psychologist license/certification, or eligibility and willingness to obtain prior to the start date
- Master’s or specialist degree in School Psychology from an accredited program
- Previous experience working with K-5 or elementary-aged children preferred
- Strong assessment, consultation, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with educational teams and families
- Commitment to supporting a positive and inclusive school climate
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct student evaluations, including cognitive, behavioral, and social-emotional assessments
- Develop intervention plans tailored to individual or group student needs
- Provide direct counseling, crisis intervention, and support services
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to promote student success
- Contribute to the development and implementation of IEPs and 504 plans
- Participate in school-based team meetings and professional development
