A school psychologist position is available for a travel assignment in the Tacoma, WA area. This role involves working within a school setting to support the academic, social, and emotional development of students through assessment, intervention, and consultation services.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations to identify students’ learning and behavioral needs
- Develop and implement individualized intervention plans tailored to students’ unique requirements
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and administrators to promote positive student outcomes
- Provide counseling and crisis intervention as needed to support student well-being
- Assist in the development of school-wide programs promoting mental health awareness and support
- Maintain accurate and confidential records in compliance with all relevant regulations and guidelines
- Stay current with best practices and relevant legal requirements in school psychology
Qualifications and Experience:
- Master's or Doctoral degree in School Psychology or related field
- Valid state certification or licensure as a School Psychologist
- Experience conducting assessments and providing interventions in an educational setting
- Strong knowledge of student development, learning disabilities, and behavioral strategies
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with diverse stakeholders
- Ability to travel and adapt to new school environments promptly
