A full-time onsite school psychologist position is available for the current school year at a K-12 school located in Taylors, SC. This role involves managing an individual caseload across two elementary schools with enrollments of approximately 376 and 559 students. The psychologist will be responsible for conducting initial evaluations, re-evaluations, Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBAs), and developing or reviewing Behavioral Intervention Plans (BIPs).

Responsibilities:

  • Manage a full caseload of students requiring psychological services.
  • Conduct assessments including initials and re-evaluations.
  • Complete FBAs and contribute to BIP development and implementation.
  • Collaborate closely with school administration, lead psychologists, special education teachers, school diagnosticians, and other related service providers.
  • Support two self-contained emotionally disabled classrooms housed within one of the elementary schools.
  • Provide consultation and support to school staff regarding behavioral disabilities and intervention strategies.

Qualifications/Desired Experience:

  • Valid school psychologist certification and experience working in K-12 educational settings.
  • Ability to independently manage a diverse caseload with varying needs.
  • Experience conducting comprehensive assessments including FBAs and developing effective BIPs.
  • Strong collaboration skills with multidisciplinary teams including special education professionals.
  • Knowledge of behavior management best practices for emotionally disabled populations.

Location:

  • Two elementary schools in Taylors, South Carolina.
