Remote School Psychologist | Rhode Island

A full-time School Psychologist position is available to support K-8 students via telehealth in an educational setting. The role is focused on providing psychological evaluations, participating in support meetings, and offering assistance to students, particularly when social work support is unavailable. This contract position is based in Central Falls, RI, and adheres to standard school hours with additional professional development time on Wednesdays.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct psychological evaluations for K-8 students to identify educational and emotional needs
• Participate in support meetings to collaborate on student interventions and planning
• Provide direct student support services, especially in the absence of social work staff
• Maintain documentation and comply with school district policies and procedures
• Attend professional development sessions every Wednesday, staying until 4:45 PM

Qualifications and Experience:

• Licensed or certified School Psychologist with experience in K-8 educational settings
• Proficiency in telehealth technologies and remote service delivery
• Strong understanding of child development, assessment tools, and intervention strategies
• Ability to work collaboratively with educators, administrators, and other support staff
• Effective communication skills and experience managing confidential information

Work Schedule:

• Full-time, approximately 39 hours per week
• School hours: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday 7:45 AM to 3:15 PM
• Wednesdays 7:45 AM to 4:45 PM for professional development
