Job Description
A Tennessee school district is seeking a dedicated Virtual School Psychologist to provide remote evaluation and consultation services for students across multiple grade levels. This full-time telehealth position offers the flexibility of working from a home office while remaining connected with teachers, administrators, families, and special education teams.
The successful candidate will play an important role in identifying student needs, supporting educational planning, and helping schools develop effective strategies for academic and behavioral success. This position is ideal for a school psychologist who enjoys independent work while contributing to a collaborative virtual environment.
Responsibilities
- Conduct remote psychoeducational evaluations for K–12 students.
- Complete assessments related to academic, behavioral, and social-emotional needs.
- Prepare comprehensive evaluation reports and recommendations.
- Attend virtual eligibility meetings and IEP conferences.
- Consult with school teams regarding interventions and student support plans.
- Provide professional recommendations to improve student outcomes.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of assessment practices and educational psychology.
- Excellent documentation and report-writing abilities.
- Comfortable delivering services through virtual platforms.
- Ability to manage deadlines and maintain organized records.
- Strong collaboration skills with remote teams.
Qualifications
- Tennessee School Psychologist certification or eligibility.
- Experience interpreting psychological and educational assessments.
- Knowledge of special education regulations and compliance standards.
- Ability to provide secure virtual services.
Experience
- Previous experience working in a school setting preferred.
- Experience supporting students with diverse learning needs is highly valued.
- Teletherapy experience welcomed but not required.
Education
- Specialist degree or Master's degree in School Psychology.
- Valid school psychology credential.
Work Hours
- 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM Central Time
- 40 hours per week
