A full-time opportunity for a School Psychologist is available, focusing on supporting students in the Gloucester area through telehealth services. Located in Newport News, VA, this role is designed to enhance the academic, behavioral, social, and emotional development of students by collaborating with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting psychoeducational evaluations and comprehensive assessments.
- Interpreting assessment results and preparing detailed evaluation reports.
- Participating in eligibility, IEP, and multidisciplinary team meetings.
- Collaborating with teachers, administrators, parents, and related service providers.
- Consulting on academic, behavioral, and mental health interventions.
- Supporting MTSS/RTI initiatives through data-driven decision-making.
- Maintaining accurate documentation and ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Promoting positive learning environments that support student success.
Qualifications for this position include:
- Master’s, Ed.S., or Doctoral degree in School Psychology.
- Active Virginia School Psychologist license or certification, or eligibility to obtain before the start date.
- Strong communication, assessment, and consultation skills.
- Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
- Prior school-based experience preferred; qualified new graduates encouraged to apply.
