A contract opportunity is available for a School Psychologist specializing in telehealth and teletherapy services, based in Newark, DE. This role supports a large district comprising one preschool, eight elementary schools, three middle schools, one large high school, and a specialized school serving students with medical, intellectual disabilities, emotional disturbances, and alternative achievement diplomas. Services extend across a full continuum of special education settings, including the most intensive “D setting.”

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide teletherapy assessments, evaluations, and psychological services across assigned schools.
  • Support students’ social-emotional and academic needs through therapeutic interventions.
  • Conduct testing-heavy assignments primarily at the elementary level as needed.
  • Collaborate with special education coordinators and fellow school psychologists.
  • Participate in professional development days, which are compensated as part of the contract.
  • Adapt to flexible worksite arrangements, typically stationed at one site with occasional split assignments.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Valid school psychologist certification or license; HR assistance available for license transfer to Delaware.
  • Candidates with licenses pending may be considered.
  • Experience delivering psychological services via telehealth and teletherapy platforms.
  • Familiarity with special education settings and diverse student populations.
  • Ability to interview promptly; meet-and-greet style interviews are offered to accommodate candidate schedules.

Additional Details:

  • Full-time contract position, 37.5 hours per week.
  • Contract start date as soon as possible through June 10th, inclusive of professional development days.
  • Decision-making involves district Director oversight.
  • Onboarding handled internally by the district, no additional procedures required.
