Position Overview
We are seeking doctoral-level School Psychologists to provide remote psychoeducational evaluations and consultation services for North Carolina school districts. This position is ideal for experienced professionals who possess both educational and psychology board credentials required for contracted service delivery in North Carolina.
The selected candidate will work collaboratively with school teams to support special education eligibility determinations, conduct evaluations, and provide consultation services through secure virtual platforms.
Essential Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations for K-12 students.
Administer and interpret psychological and educational assessments.
Prepare legally defensible evaluation reports.
Participate in eligibility, MTSS, and IEP meetings.
Consult with school staff, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
Maintain compliance with IDEA, Section 504, and North Carolina regulations.
Deliver services through secure telepractice platforms.
Complete documentation and reports within district timelines.
Required Qualifications
Doctoral degree (PhD, PsyD, or EdD) in School Psychology from an accredited institution.
Active North Carolina Department of Public Instruction (NCDPI) School Psychologist License.
Active licensure through the North Carolina Psychology Board as a Licensed Psychologist.
Eligibility to provide contracted psychological services within North Carolina public schools.
Experience conducting psychoeducational evaluations and writing comprehensive reports.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work independently in a remote setting.
Reliable high-speed internet and secure home office environment.
Licensing Requirements
Because this position is a 1099 contractor role provided through a contracting agency, candidates must hold active licensure through the North Carolina Psychology Board. North Carolina guidance specifies that when psychological services are provided through a contracting agency to public schools, Psychology Board licensure is required. NCDPI school psychologist licensure alone is not sufficient for agency-contracted service delivery.
Required Credentials:
North Carolina Department of Public Instruction (NCDPI) School Psychologist License.
North Carolina Psychology Board Licensed Psychologist credential.
Doctoral degree (PhD, PsyD, or EdD) in School Psychology or closely related psychology discipline meeting Psychology Board requirements.
Preferred Qualifications
Nationally Certified School Psychologist (NCSP).
Previous telepractice or virtual assessment experience.
Experience supporting multiple districts.
Familiarity with virtual testing platforms and remote evaluation procedures.
