Make a meaningful impact working with an engaging K-8 student community as a school psychologist in a contract position near Tempe, AZ. This role provides the opportunity to partner with general education students receiving speech services as well as support two self-contained classrooms focused on foundational skills for students with intellectual disabilities. With a manageable caseload of approximately 43 students, you’ll have the time to build strong relationships and deliver high-quality services.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid state licensure or certification as a School Psychologist
- Master’s degree or higher in School Psychology or a related field
- Experience with K-8 age groups in school or similar settings
- Skilled in conducting assessments, developing IEPs, and using data-driven interventions
- Ability to collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations for general and special education students
- Provide counseling, consultation, and behavioral interventions tailored to individual needs
- Support students with speech services and those in foundational skills classrooms
- Participate in the development and review of IEPs, ensuring compliance and student-centered goals
- Deliver targeted interventions and monitor student progress
- Collaborate closely with teachers, speech-language pathologists, and family members to design optimal support strategies
