Step into a rewarding role supporting children’s educational success as a school psychologist in a contract-based, full-time position (35 hours per week) with flexibility for part-time applicants. This opportunity is located in the Thibodaux, LA area and involves itinerant work across multiple sites, engaging with students from kindergarten through twelfth grade. Your expertise will be used to foster positive learning environments, assess student needs, and provide valuable interventions. You’ll travel between school campuses, helping students reach their highest potential while receiving mileage reimbursement for your efforts.

Key Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Valid certification or licensure as a school psychologist
  • Experience working with K-12 students preferred
  • Strong background in assessments, counseling, and behavioral interventions
  • Ability to collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families
  • Excellent communication and organizational abilities
  • Willingness to travel between school sites

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments to support student learning
  • Develop and implement individualized plans and interventions
  • Provide counseling to students individually and in groups
  • Work closely with educators and parents to address learning and behavioral challenges
  • Participate in multidisciplinary teams and contribute to IEP meetings
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation for all services provided
  • Offer crisis intervention and support as needed
