Step into a rewarding full-time contract position supporting elementary students during the 2026-2027 school year. You'll provide essential psychological and behavioral support across two sites, working closely with school teams to foster positive outcomes for students with distinct needs. This role is fully on-site, running Monday through Friday, from 8:00 to 3:30, starting August 17.

Your expertise will be invaluable as you split your time between two buildings: one with three Autistic Support Classrooms and another with two Emotional Support Classrooms. As the on-site behavioral consultant, you will coordinate, schedule, and communicate with staff to deliver effective functional assessments and behavioral interventions. Your contribution will help shape robust Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and promote the best possible learning environment for every student.

Desired Qualifications/Experience:

  • Valid School Psychologist certification or eligibility in Illinois
  • Experience working in K-5 or elementary settings
  • Background in evaluating students for behavioral needs and developing behavior intervention plans
  • Familiarity with supporting students in Autism and Emotional Support programs
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills for multidisciplinary teamwork
  • Ability to adapt strategies to diverse caseloads and a dynamic school environment

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive functional assessments and behavioral evaluations
  • Design and implement tailored behavior plans for students
  • Guide and support teachers and staff in effective interventions and progress monitoring
  • Collaborate on the development and review of IEPs
  • Continually monitor and assess the effectiveness of interventions, making data-driven adjustments
  • Serve as a resource for best practices in behavioral support and crisis prevention
