Make a meaningful impact in the surrounding Tinley Park, IL area by supporting students as a School Psychologist for the 2026-2027 academic year. This contract opportunity covers PreK through 8th grade within a supportive environment. You’ll partner with another experienced psychologist to serve a caseload of approximately 180 students. The workday runs from either 8:00 am to 4:00 pm or 7:30 am to 3:30 pm, totaling 35-37 hours per week. The assignment begins August 18th and continues through June 4th, with the potential for minor adjustments due to emergency days.

Key Qualifications:

  • Valid PEL (Professional Educator License) and compliance with all Illinois certification requirements for school psychologists
  • Prior professional experience in a school setting (this position is not open to new graduates)
  • Strong knowledge of PreK-8th grade development, special education laws, and psychological assessment practices
  • Keen ability to collaborate with educators, parents, and fellow support staff
  • Effective communication and organizational skills

Your Role:

  • Conduct comprehensive psychological and educational assessments
  • Provide counseling, intervention, and consultative services for students, parents, and staff
  • Support IEP meetings and legal compliance across special education processes
  • Collaborate on academic and behavioral intervention planning
