As a contract School Psychologist, you’ll have the opportunity to foster positive educational environments and ensure students have the support they need to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
Key Qualifications:
- Hold a valid license or certification as a School Psychologist
- Demonstrated experience working within K-12 school settings
- Strong understanding of student assessment, intervention, and special education processes
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate with teachers, parents, and administrators
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards in school psychology
- Comfortable with both individual and group counseling, along with crisis intervention
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational assessments and interpret results for eligibility determination and intervention planning
- Develop and support individualized education programs (IEPs) for students with identified needs
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to address student concerns and recommend evidence-based intervention strategies
- Consult with teachers, staff, and families to promote positive behavior and mental wellness
- Provide crisis intervention and counseling as needed for students facing challenges
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with district and state guidelines
