School Psychologist - Tumwater, WA

Make a meaningful impact in a supportive educational setting as you provide school psychological services for students and staff for the 2026/2027 school year. This contract position offers a unique hybrid schedule, allowing for vital in-person connections while also incorporating remote flexibility. You’ll collaborate with educators, families, and the multidisciplinary team to empower every student’s educational journey.

A successful professional in this role will bring compassion, adaptability, and a strong commitment to serving school-age children. You’ll conduct onsite assessments that guide individualized educational supports, while much of your reporting and potentially participation in IEP meetings can be accomplished remotely.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Valid School Psychologist certification in Washington state (or eligibility for certification)
• Knowledge and practice of current assessment tools and best practices
• Experience conducting evaluations and creating comprehensive, actionable reports
• Excellent communication skills for collaboration with staff, students, and families
• Proficiency with technology for remote report writing and virtual meetings
• Prior school-based or pediatric experience preferred

Key Responsibilities:

• Complete psychoeducational assessments onsite to support student learning and emotional wellbeing
• Develop and interpret reports that inform Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
• Participate in team meetings, remotely when possible, to collaborate on student support strategies
• Consult with teachers, parents, and support staff on interventions and strategies
• Promote a positive, inclusive school climate
