A school district in Tyler, Texas is working with Soliant to contract a school psychologist for the 2026-2027 school year. As part of the district's multidisciplinary special education team, you will work to improve students' academic achievement, behavior, mental health, and overall well-being by partnering with educators, families, and community.   • Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations for students referred for special education.
  • Assess cognitive, academic, behavioral, emotional, and social functioning using standardized assessments.
  • Interpret assessment data and prepare comprehensive evaluation reports.
  • Determine eligibility for special education under the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA).
  • Participate in Admission, Review, and Dismissal (ARD) committee meetings.
  • Help develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) by providing recommendations based on evaluation findings.
  • Collaborate with educational diagnosticians, speech-language pathologists, occupational therapists, and other specialists. 
  • Conduct Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBAs).
  • Develop and monitor Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs).
  • Provide behavioral consultation to teachers and administrators.
  • Assist with crisis intervention, suicide risk assessments, and threat assessments when needed.
  • Support campus teams implementing Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) and Response to Intervention (RTI).
  • Complete evaluations within state-mandated timelines.
  • Ensure compliance with Texas Education Agency (TEA) regulations and federal special education law.
  • Write legally defensible psychological reports
