In this contract-based, full-time position, you'll work closely with school teams to deliver crucial psychometric services across multiple school sites within the district.
Key Qualifications:
- Current ALSDE certification for psychometry is required
- Experience with the principles and practices of school psychology or psychometry
- Proven ability to administer formal educational and psychological assessments efficiently
- Strong interpretive skills to turn test results into actionable insights for individual education plans (IEPs)
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with educators, administrators, and families
Primary Responsibilities:
- Travel between schools in the district to provide comprehensive assessment services as needed
- Administer standardized psychological and educational evaluations to students referred for special education consideration
- Compile and analyze test scores, preparing clear and insightful reports to present to IEP teams
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to communicate findings and support the development of effective educational strategies
- Attend and participate in special education meetings, contributing key data and professional perspectives on student needs
