School Psychologist in Valley Falls, KS

Make an impact supporting K-12 students in a contract role as a School Psychologist just outside of Valley Falls, KS. This position offers the opportunity to collaborate across two schools and work with a manageable caseload, serving 63 students from kindergarten through 12th grade. You will play a crucial role in student success through evaluation, consultation, and intervention.

Key Qualifications:

• Valid certification or licensure as a School Psychologist
• Experience conducting initial and three-year re-evaluations for K-12 students
• Strong background consulting on pre-referral interventions
• Familiarity with manifestation determination hearings related to disciplinary actions
• Excellent communication and consultation skills
• Ability to adapt services to individual student needs and collaborate with teachers, parents, and staff

Responsibilities:

• Complete comprehensive initial and triennial evaluations for referred students
• Consult with educational teams on pre-referral interventions and strategies
• Participate in and facilitate manifestation determination hearings as needed
• Interpret assessment data, deliver recommendations, and support IEP processes
• Serve as a resource for staff and families regarding psychoeducational needs
• Maintain thorough documentation and ensure all services provided comply with relevant regulations
• Support the social, emotional, and academic development of students
