Make a meaningful impact in education as a school psychologist for the upcoming 2026/2027 academic year! This full-time contract position offers the opportunity to support a dynamic team of professionals while working primarily with primary and elementary school students. The assignment runs from July 27, 2026, through May 26, 2027, with a standard 37.5 hour workweek.
As a valued member of the school's support staff, you will collaborate closely with other psychologists, providing critical assessment and consultation services across a wide spectrum of student needs. Most of your focus will involve evaluating and supporting younger learners, though you may occasionally engage with students ranging from pre-K through grade 12.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid state certification or licensure as a school psychologist
- Master’s or doctoral degree in School Psychology or a related field
- Experience with psychoeducational testing and report writing, particularly with primary and elementary students
- Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with students, educators, and families
- Familiarity with IEP processes, special education eligibility, and evidence-based interventions
- Commitment to ethical practice and maintaining confidentiality
Main Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and interpret results for academic, behavioral, and emotional concerns
- Work alongside fellow psychologists to manage caseloads effectively in the district
- Consult with teachers, administrators, and families to support student success
- Contribute to the development and implementation of individualized education plans
- Provide crisis intervention and counseling as needed
- Maintain thorough documentation and participate in team meetings
