This full-time, contract opportunity spans the 2026–2027 academic year, with your professional expertise needed onsite throughout multiple local campuses. Key Qualifications:

  • Current Virginia Department of Education (DOE) credential for School Psychology
  • Active psychologist license (Virginia)
  • Experience in school-based psychology services is a strong asset
  • Comfort adapting to a variety of campus settings
  • Ability to serve elementary through high school students, as determined by district needs
  • Strong communication, consultative, and collaboration skills

Role Responsibilities:

  • Conduct student psychological assessments and collaborate on multidisciplinary teams
  • Develop and help implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Provide direct and consultative mental health support to students, families, and staff
  • Contribute expertise in crisis intervention and positive behavioral supports
  • Maintain accurate records and timely documentation in compliance with district standards
  • Participate in eligibility, intervention, and progress review meetings

What to Expect:

  • 35-hour work week, Monday through Friday
  • Full onsite presence required – virtual/VOCO or hybrid work is not permitted
  • Work schedule follows the academic calendar, with assignments from late August through mid-June
  • Interview slots available in late June and early July for fast-tracked placement
