Key Qualifications:
- Master’s or higher degree in School Psychology from an accredited program
- Valid state licensure or eligibility in School Psychology
- Previous experience as a school psychologist preferred, but not required
- Strong assessment, counseling, and intervention skills
- Knowledge of special education laws and best practices
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and organizational abilities
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments to identify student needs
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to create supportive interventions
- Provide counseling services, crisis intervention, and mental health support for students
- Contribute to prevention and early intervention programs addressing behavioral and academic concerns
- Maintain accurate and confidential records in accordance with school policies
- Assist in the development and implementation of behavior management strategies
