Step into a rewarding role supporting high school students as an on-site School Psychologist for the upcoming academic year. This full-time contract opportunity places you in a dynamic educational setting near Warren, MI, working across four high school campuses. As a key member of the support team, you’ll focus on a Special Education (SPED) caseload of approximately 110-120 students, helping them unlock their full potential. The position begins July 7th, giving you ample time to prepare and get to know your new school community.
Preferred Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Valid state certification or licensure as a School Psychologist
- Background working with high school students, especially within a SPED environment
- Understanding of best practices in psychoeducational assessments, MTSS/RTI, and IEP processes
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with students, staff, and families
- Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and offer consultative support to educators
Core Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations for SPED students
- Participate actively in IEP and eligibility meetings, making data-driven recommendations
- Deliver counseling and intervention services, both group and individual, addressing social, behavioral, and academic needs
- Consult and collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to develop effective strategies for student success
- Support the emotional well-being of a diverse student population through crisis intervention, risk assessments, and ongoing monitoring
- Travel between the four high school campuses as needed
