As a key member of a collaborative team, you’ll utilize strong assessment and intervention skills to identify student needs, create effective support plans, and promote a healthy school environment. While some traditional testing duties will be involved, you’ll also have the chance to contribute beyond assessments, engaging in broader mental health initiatives and support roles throughout your assigned buildings.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Possession of (or commitment to quickly obtaining) Michigan School Psychologist Certification
- Experience in educational or school-based environments is valued
- Proficient in student assessment, psychological intervention, and data interpretation
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Collaborative, flexible, and enthusiastic about multi-disciplinary teamwork
Position Highlights and Responsibilities:
- Provide psychological evaluations and direct interventions
- Work onsite across 1–2 buildings within a thoroughly supported district structure
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to address student mental health and behavioral needs
- Develop, implement, and monitor intervention plans for diverse learners
- Take an active role in student support services—not just assessments, but also prevention, crisis response, and staff consultation
