Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Valid School Psychologist certification with relevant credentials for MARSE and IDEA compliance
- Expertise in conducting psychoeducational evaluations and interpreting a range of assessments (intelligence, achievement, adaptive behavior, and more)
- Solid understanding of eligibility criteria for SLD, OHI, EI, CI, ASD, Section 504, and other relevant categories
- Strong ability to communicate evaluation results and recommendations to diverse audiences
- Experience working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, parents, and school staff
- Proficiency in developing IEP goals, data-driven behavior plans, and contributing to SSTs
- Crisis intervention experience, including threat/suicidal assessment and safety planning
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and best practices in school psychology
Core Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational assessments per MARSE and IDEA guidelines
- Administer, score, and interpret a range of assessment tools for students with diverse needs
- Deliver clear, actionable recommendations and eligibility decisions to educational teams and families
- Collaborate on creating effective IEPs, accommodations, and support plans
- Respond directly during crisis situations to promote student safety and well-being
- Engage with Student Support Teams to implement proactive, classroom-based interventions
- Contribute to broader program planning and school-based decision-making
- Stay current by participating in required professional development opportunities
