Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Valid School Psychologist certification in Michigan (or eligibility to obtain)
  • Master’s or higher degree in School Psychology or a related field
  • Prior experience conducting evaluations in K-12 educational environments
  • Thorough understanding of educational laws and best practices related to special education
  • Effective communication and collaboration abilities with both children and adults
  • Exceptional organizational and report-writing skills

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations and assessments
  • Compile and interpret data to inform Individualized Education Program (IEP) development
  • Consult with teachers, administrators, and families regarding student needs and recommendations
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss findings and next steps
  • Maintain accurate, detailed, and compliant documentation for each evaluation
  • Stay current with latest developments in school psychology, assessment tools, and procedures
