Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid School Psychologist certification or licensure (as required by state regulations)
- Master’s or higher degree in Psychology, School Psychology, or a related field
- Previous experience working as a School Psychologist within a K-12 environment is strongly preferred
- Knowledge of psychological testing, special education law, and best practices in counseling and crisis intervention
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with students, parents, and multidisciplinary teams
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational assessments and interpret evaluation data to identify students’ strengths and areas of need
- Provide direct counseling and intervention to students, addressing social, emotional, and behavioral concerns
- Collaborate with educators and families to develop and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and behavior plans
- Participate in multi-disciplinary team meetings, providing expertise on student mental health, learning, and behavior
- Consult with staff and parents on effective strategies to support student success
- Offer crisis prevention and intervention services as needed
