Qualifications and Experience:

  • Master’s or doctoral degree in School Psychology from an accredited program
  • Current Rhode Island School Psychologist certification (RIDE 5403)
  • Demonstrated ability to conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations and assessments
  • Experience supporting the development and review of IEPs, and determining eligibility for special education services
  • Strong skills in counseling, behavioral interventions, and student-centered consultation
  • Capable of supporting intervention planning, progress monitoring, and data-driven decision-making
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities for working across multidisciplinary teams

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct individual evaluations and assessments for students ages 3 to 21
  • Provide support for IEP development, eligibility determination, and implementation
  • Offer counseling services and behavioral supports as needed
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, families, and related service professionals
  • Assist with student intervention strategies, crisis support, and data collection
  • Engage in ongoing consultation and progress monitoring based on school and program needs
