Key Qualifications:

  • Valid School Psychologist certification in Connecticut
  • Master’s degree or higher in School Psychology or a closely related field
  • Experience working in a school setting preferred
  • Strong understanding of psychological testing, special education laws, and IEP processes
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, families, and students

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Conduct evaluations to assess cognitive, academic, social, emotional, and behavioral needs of students
  • Interpret data and provide insightful recommendations to support learning plans and interventions
  • Participate in the development, implementation, and review of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Consult with teachers, administrators, and parents regarding student needs and progress
  • Provide counseling and crisis intervention when appropriate
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to create supportive, inclusive school environments
