Key Qualifications:
- Valid School Psychologist certification in Connecticut
- Master’s degree or higher in School Psychology or a closely related field
- Experience working in a school setting preferred
- Strong understanding of psychological testing, special education laws, and IEP processes
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, families, and students
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct evaluations to assess cognitive, academic, social, emotional, and behavioral needs of students
- Interpret data and provide insightful recommendations to support learning plans and interventions
- Participate in the development, implementation, and review of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Consult with teachers, administrators, and parents regarding student needs and progress
- Provide counseling and crisis intervention when appropriate
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to create supportive, inclusive school environments
