School Psychologist - Waterbury, CT

Key Qualifications & Experience:

• Valid state certification or license as a School Psychologist
• Prior experience working in a school setting preferred
• Ability to complete timely assessments, develop student support plans, and participate in IEP meetings
• Knowledgeable in best practices related to student evaluations and interventions
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Compassionate and adaptable in meeting the unique needs of each student

Primary Responsibilities:

• Conduct individualized psychological and behavioral assessments for students
• Interpret evaluation results and communicate findings to parents, teachers, and support teams
• Participate actively in multi-disciplinary teams and provide recommendations for student success
• Develop and implement strategies for social, emotional, and academic growth
• Support the Response to Intervention (RTI) process and crisis intervention efforts as needed
• Serve as a liaison among families, school staff, and community resources
• Maintain accurate and confidential student records in compliance with school policy and legal requirements
