This contract opportunity, beginning ASAP and continuing through the end of November, offers a full-time schedule of 37.5 hours per week. You’ll work closely with a motivated multi-disciplinary team to provide essential psychological services and promote student well-being.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid CT 070 School Psychologist License
- Previous experience in a school setting strongly preferred
- Comprehensive understanding of best practices for evaluations, re-evaluations, and psychological assessment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for effective report writing and recommending interventions
- Ability to collaborate with colleagues and support individualized education programs (IEPs) in PPT meetings
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct student evaluations, re-evaluations, and assessments to guide educational interventions
- Collaborate with the PPT team to develop, implement, and review IEPs
- Deliver direct counseling services to students, fostering social, emotional, and academic growth
- Provide written reports with actionable recommendations for school staff and families
- Serve as a resource to staff and caregivers regarding mental health, behavioral, and educational concerns
- Support efforts to enhance a positive and inclusive school climate
