School Psychologist in Waterbury, CT

Step into a dynamic role for the 2026/2027 school year, where your expertise as a School Psychologist will directly impact students’ lives and the broader educational community. This contract opportunity, beginning ASAP and continuing through the end of November, offers a full-time schedule of 37.5 hours per week. You’ll work closely with a motivated multi-disciplinary team to provide essential psychological services and promote student well-being.

Key Qualifications:

• Valid CT 070 School Psychologist License
• Previous experience in a school setting strongly preferred
• Comprehensive understanding of best practices for evaluations, re-evaluations, and psychological assessment
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for effective report writing and recommending interventions
• Ability to collaborate with colleagues and support individualized education programs (IEPs) in PPT meetings

Primary Responsibilities:

• Conduct student evaluations, re-evaluations, and assessments to guide educational interventions
• Collaborate with the PPT team to develop, implement, and review IEPs
• Deliver direct counseling services to students, fostering social, emotional, and academic growth
• Provide written reports with actionable recommendations for school staff and families
• Serve as a resource to staff and caregivers regarding mental health, behavioral, and educational concerns
• Support efforts to enhance a positive and inclusive school climate
