Make a meaningful impact supporting elementary students during an important stage of their academic journey. This full-time contract position provides coverage for a School Psychologist on maternity leave, with a schedule running from August 24, 2026 to November 18, 2026. You’ll work with elementary-aged students, collaborating with educators and families to foster a positive and inclusive educational environment.
Essential Qualifications:
- Active Wisconsin School Psychologist Certification or a valid Nationally Certified School Psychologist (NCSP) credential
- Experience working with elementary school-aged children
- Strong assessment, counseling, and consultation skills
- Excellent communication and collaborative abilities
- Capacity to adapt assessment and intervention strategies to suit diverse student needs
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations and assessments for elementary students
- Interpret assessment results and provide actionable recommendations to staff and families
- Participate in the development and implementation of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Offer consultation and support to teachers and administrators regarding student behavior and academic progress
- Deliver direct or indirect counseling and intervention services as needed
- Maintain timely and compliant documentation in accordance with school and state requirements
- Engage in meetings and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to promote student success
