Make a meaningful impact supporting students’ growth and success as you collaborate with dedicated educators in a dynamic school environment near Waukegan, IL. This contract opportunity offers flexibility, allowing for either part-time (20-24 hours/week) or full-time (37.5 hours/week) schedules to best suit your needs. School hours are 8 am to 4 pm.

In this role, you will work with a diverse caseload, ranging from 20 to 40 evaluations annually, and directly contribute to student achievement and well-being.

Preferred Qualifications & Experience:

  • Current license or eligibility for licensure as a School Psychologist in Illinois
  • Strong background in school-based psychological services and knowledge of special education law
  • Familiarity with completing evaluations, interpreting data, and writing comprehensive reports
  • Experience facilitating IEP meetings and collaborating with families and multidisciplinary teams
  • Understanding of the MTSS (Multi-Tiered System of Supports) process
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to balance multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting

Core Responsibilities:

  • Conduct a variety of special education evaluations in accordance with state and federal guidelines
  • Facilitate and participate in IEP meetings, offering expert input and fostering collaborative decision-making
  • Consult with teachers, staff, and families to address students’ academic, behavioral, and emotional needs
  • Provide support as part of the MTSS team, contributing your expertise to tiered interventions and progress monitoring
  • Maintain accurate documentation and timely communication throughout the evaluation process
