What You’ll Contribute:
- Current School Psychologist license in Illinois
- Experience with school-based psychological services, including evaluations and behavioral assessments
- Deep understanding of special education law and best practices, especially for early childhood populations
- Proficiency in re-evaluation reviews, eligibility meetings, and functional behavioral assessments
- Strong communication skills, fostering clear relationships with families, educators, and support teams
- Flexibility to travel between multiple sites for early childhood services (for the 0.6 FTE role)
- Ability to facilitate and participate in IEP meetings, MTSS data team meetings (for K–4 role), and support students, families, and staff
- Commitment to supporting first-time families through the special education evaluation process
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct screenings, evaluations, and behavioral assessments for students ages 3–high school
- Participate in and facilitate IEP meetings, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams
- Guide families and educators through the special education process with compassion and clarity
- Share expertise across elementary, middle, and high school caseloads in alignment with best practices
- Travel between early childhood sites as needed
