Empower student success and make a lasting impact supporting schools as a School Psychologist in the Weatherford, TX area. This contract position offers a unique opportunity to serve as an itinerant professional between five campuses, primarily focusing on elementary students with some middle school involvement. The assignment runs from August 10, 2026, through May 21, 2027, on a steady 35-hour work week.
In this on-site role, you will collaborate with faculty, staff, and families to ensure students receive critical evaluations and interventions related to Autism (AU), Emotional Disturbance (ED), and Other Health Impairments (OHI), including ADHD. The scope covers direct assessments, Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs), Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs), and additional direct services.
Qualifications and Preferred Experience:
- Active License Specialist in School Psychology (LSSP) or Associate School Psychologist Credential, as issued by the Board of Examiners of Psychologists
- Fingerprinting through TEA required (results may take up to 10 business days)
- Experience conducting assessments and interventions for AU, ED, OHI, and ADHD
- Previous school-based service preferred
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) candidates highly regarded
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide assessment, intervention, and consultative psychological services across multiple schools
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and Behavioral Intervention Plans
- Deliver direct services and support to students and families in need
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation
