Embark on an exciting contract opportunity as a School Psychologist serving K-12 students in the thriving area surrounding Webster and Henrietta, NY for the 2026-2027 academic year. This dynamic role begins with orientation in late August and the first student day after Labor Day, stretching through the last day of classes in June.
Utilize your expertise to support the mental health, learning needs, and academic development of students across various age groups. Collaborate with educators and families while advancing impactful interventions within an inclusive educational community.
Qualifications & Desired Skills:
- Valid New York State (NYS) Certification as a School Psychologist
- Master’s Degree in Psychology
- Solid understanding of child and adolescent development
- Skilled in diagnostic assessment, data interpretation, and case conceptualization
- Experience with Response to Intervention (RTI) and Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) frameworks
- Familiarity with instructional interventions and evaluating their effectiveness
- Ability to work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams
- Strong communication skills to engage educators, students, and families
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments for students referred for academic, social-emotional, or behavioral concerns
- Identify students’ strengths and needs, and develop actionable recommendations
- Participate in the implementation and monitoring of RTI and MTSS processes
- Consult with teachers and staff to enhance instructional practices and intervention strategies
- Provide individual and group counseling when appropriate
- Engage in IEP meetings and support special education processes
