Desired Background and Experience
- Valid certification or licensure as a School Psychologist
- Experience supporting middle school students (grades 6-8) is preferred
- Solid foundation in educational assessments, behavior intervention, and counseling
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to consult and collaborate effectively with teachers, administrators, and families
- Familiarity with special education processes and documentation
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational assessments and write reports
- Help develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Provide short-term counseling and crisis intervention as needed
- Offer consultation and training for teachers related to student behavioral and learning challenges
- Support the creation of a positive, inclusive school climate
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and work collaboratively to determine appropriate interventions
- Maintain thorough, timely, and confidential student records
