Step into a key support role for high school students and staff for the 2026/27 school year as a School Psychologist. This full-time, contract position offers a dynamic opportunity to make a positive impact within the educational community near West Hartford, CT.

The role is structured for a 35-hour workweek and focuses on providing dedicated psychological support to a high school caseload. Collaborate with students, educators, and families to foster a nurturing and effective learning environment.

Desired Experience and Qualifications:

  • Valid certification or licensure as a School Psychologist (required)
  • Background in school-based psychological assessments and counseling
  • Experience with high school-aged students preferred
  • Excellent communication, consultation, and teamwork skills
  • Knowledge of Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and Response to Intervention (RTI) processes
  • Ability to manage a diverse caseload and maintain timely documentation

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct evaluations, assessments, and develop tailored interventions for students
  • Collaborate with educators and families to address social, emotional, and behavioral challenges
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of student plans
  • Provide crisis intervention and ongoing counseling as needed
  • Consult with staff regarding student learning and behavioral needs
  • Maintain accurate, confidential records in compliance with policies and legal requirements
